Caoilfhionn inghean Fhaoláin is a 4th century Irish woman in the time of the Roman Empire. Caoilfhionn was the niece of a clan chief who sought help from the Romans that had occupied their neighbors in Britain. In exchange for military assistance against enemy clans, the chief sent some warriors of his clan across the Irish Sea to the Roman outposts in Britain.
